DADDY'S BONETOWN BURGERS FOOD TRUCK - BOSTON, MA

Image
Who doesnt love a good old fashioned annual craft fair? Its one of the only chances you get in life to stock up on homemade pot holders, amateur watercolor paintings, and jewelry made of rocks wrapped in sterling silver- all at the same time! Time to clear out your bank account! Then theres always the fun game of trying to avoid eye contact with all the handmade clothing vendors peddling what looks like stitched together scraps of discount fabric from Joannes. So after youve walked the four or five aisles of homemade soap and windchimes, you may start to wonder why you didnt just spend your Saturday morning at home watching cartoons instead of early Christmas shopping for your weird aunt. Im not going to lie. I attended the event described in the above flier because of the two top billed acts. I knew two things: it was to support the former Off With Their Heads Drummers new food truck venture, and that Id be getting drunk listening to music I love. The bartender explained that all I had to do is put in an order, and my poutine would be brought to me. Glorious. After looking over the menu, it wasnt an easy choice. Im a poutine snob. Ive had the good, the bad, and the mediocre. Ive had poutine IN Canada. I almost went for traditional The Regular poutine. And though Im sure it would have been phenomenal, Im happy I didnt. Once I saw the word PASTRAMI, there was no stopping me. ...

Since I moved to Seattle a year ago I've been trying as many restaurants, food trucks, bakeries and specialty shops as I can. There's maybe a million of them so I have my work cut out for me. But one there was one that I wanted to try over them all, that somehow eluded me. That one? The Cheese Wizards. Legend has it these wizards use forbidden magic to create some of the greatest grilled cheese sandwiches that this land has ever known.  I had seen the truck around, but usually parked for the night. Once it drove by me when I was out for an adventure and when I stopped to watch it pass, the driver looked over at me and tipped his giant wizard hat. Yes, you read that right. The wizard behind the wheel was wearing a giant wizard hat.  So when I heard they were finally coming to my neighborhood I decided the time had come for FGFB to meet... THE CHEESE WIZARDS.  When I arrived they were still setting up, so I used this time wisely to creep around and take a good look at their...
